SNG Bypass Train 120 MMSCFD
Delivered in 2024, the bypass train offered an effective, one-stop solution to the low-pressure challenge experienced by Shell Nigeria Gas on the Escravos Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS). Prefabrication was conducted in Magoula, Greece, with skids airlifted through Belgium to adhere to tight scheduling requirements. The project was commissioned achieving approximately 0.30 bar pressure drop, compared to the targeted 1 bar. Tie-in operations were executed under challenging weather conditions and a strict shutdown window, during which DESL completed an impressive 370 welded joints with no repairs needed.
